Dog Training on Biteable.
Nothing says it better than a selfie with your horse...

Born and raised in a small town in Ontario Canada I had animals follow me home regularly. From school, from friends houses, and from the park. It seemed as though my mother had our local dog catcher on stand by. All of our dogs growing up were adopted from the shelter. My family nicknamed me Dr. Doolittle. I moved to Sunny Southern California in grade school and the phenomenon kept up. However the shelter system here vs where I grew up was drastically different.
In highschool I started rescuing dogs and cats, obtaining veterinary care, and finding homes for them. We learned quickly that people did not want to adopt untrained dogs. I started to read every book at the library and spend my money from work on books from the store. I started training the dogs using clicker training and Karen Pryor methods. I then started working at a local Vets office. I continued working as a veterinary technician for 3 years between 2 local vets offices and obtained my Certification as a dog trainer. In 2005 I started working at PetSmart as a trainer. I then moved onto PetCo as a District Area Trainer. I was fed up watching people come in for help but unable to afford classes. So in August 2008 I started the CVDC to provide an affordable fully force free option that is scientifically proven to be more successful than any other methods with less owner output and more consistency to the dogs and their humans of our valley. |
